Glenn Großmann, pr bass Kiel Theater, plays 5 stringer, A model made in 2025

Our performance season has now wrapped up, and I finally wanted to let you know that your bass is serving us incredibly well! It has wonderful volume and a big, dark tone that is beautifully malleable. The low F, F#, and G make the entire Kiel Castle shake—and the very low C#, C, and B do so even more (sometimes I tune down to Bb or A, and it shines even then)! I can also confidently use the G string in the lower registers; it retains its charm and quality there, too. I’ve already been able to create some fantastic musical moments with it—from the major Ginastera solo to Wagner evenings and various symphony concerts! It is a huge asset to our section and, by extension, to the entire orchestra!
